Professional Experience

Roger Robinson is a seasoned leader with more than 20 years of experience advancing social services and community well-being. He currently serves as Director of the Human Services Agency for Ventura County, California, where he provides strategic leadership across Veteran Services, Homeless Programs, Eligibility, Child Welfare, Farmworkers Resource and Adult Services.  Roger’s career reflects a deep commitment to improving outcomes for children, families, and vulnerable populations. He previously held leadership roles in Solano County Health & Human Services, Florida’s Department of Children and Families, One Hope United, and Broward County Government, where he helped redesign statewide child welfare systems and strengthen multidisciplinary responses to child abuse and family needs. He also served as Deputy Director of Programs and Services for Children and Family Services in Nebraska, overseeing major social service programs and managing a billion-dollar budget.

Education

Dual Bachelor’s degrees in Criminology and Sociology, and a Master’s in Applied Social Research and Statistics from Florida State University. His career is defined by innovation, collaboration, and a steadfast dedication to building equitable, effective systems of care.
